Water vapour is the world’s most damaging contaminant and it usually carries other contaminants with it which, together reduce potency and slash shelf-life. All vapours can permeate through any receptacle, package, material or medical product. Liquids (and aromatics) can just as easily seep out in the same way.
To counter this Versaperm has introduced a multi-chamber instrument that allows you to identify and correct these problems by measuring the vapour permeability not just for water vapour but for virtually every other carrier gas. A wide range of sensors is available for specific applications and a mass spectrometry system is available for more general work.
The systems help reduce chemical and biological toxins as well as other impurities and are typically accurate in the Parts per Million (PPM) or Parts Per Billion ranges. They work just as well on tubes, jars, containers or packaging as they do on products ranging from unitary dose medicine, injectable or clean peel system, through to medical equipment and gas products.
The latest Versaperm systems can produce results in as little as 30 minutes for some materials, which speeds the never-ending quest for quality control and effective packaging with new marketing and technical features.
The new instrument can measure several samples at the same time and, additionally, Versaperm offers a fast turnaround laboratory testing service and a consultancy service.
